Oak

Oak sits in the garden of our own home, just above Aylburton on the southern edge of the Forest of Dean. We live here, so we're around when you need anything and out of your way when you don't. The stables are adults-only: Oak sleeps two, with everything on the ground floor, and two dogs stay with you free.

The dogs get looked after properly here. The enclosed paddock in front of Oak is theirs to run in, private to your stable, so your dogs are not sharing it with the neighbours' dogs. If you'd rather have the whole site to yourselves, you can take the whole place: both stables, both paddocks, up to 4 adults and 4 dogs. There's also a dog wash station with blow drier, free to use as often as you like, which earns its keep after a muddy day in the Forest. Tell us about your dogs before you arrive and we'll have their welcome pack made up by name.

The practical bits: oil central heating keeps Oak warm in any season, Wi-Fi and electricity are included, and there's a designated parking space for one car. The EV charging point by the stable is charged at £0.40 per kWh, payable directly to us. An external utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer is shared with Elm, and the washing tablets and softener are there for you. There is an ice maker in the stable, and a dog bed, so that is one less thing to pack. Linen, towels and a welcome pack for you and the dogs are all included. Check in from 4pm and check out by 10am. Smoking and vaping are for your parking area only, where there's a sand bucket for the ends. Of an evening, the patio and gazebo are a fine place to sit out, with views towards the Severn.
