This page is deliberately short. We would rather tell you the truth in a few lines than pad it out with legal boilerplate that doesn't apply to us.

1. Who we are

Chapel Hill Stables is two self-catering holiday stables, Oak and Elm, in Aylburton, near Lydney, in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. The stables sit in the garden of our own home, and this website is written and run by us, the owners. If you need our full business details in writing, just ask and we will send them.

2. Bookings

This website takes enquiries, not payments. Send us your dates and we will reply ourselves to confirm what is free and what it costs. Nothing is booked and no money changes hands until we have written to you and you have agreed it. Where a stay is booked through a listing site instead, that site's own booking and cancellation terms apply rather than anything on this page.

3. House rules and policies

Our rules for stays, dogs, arrival and departure are set out plainly on our FAQ page. We keep them there rather than burying them here, because they matter more than the small print.

4. Privacy

This site was built without analytics or advertising trackers, and we don't set tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly functional cookies to serve the site securely. The fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those font files from Google's servers when a page loads.

When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, contact details, your dates and whatever you tell us about your dogs. We use it to answer you and to plan your stay, nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not add you to a mailing list without you asking, and we keep it only as long as it is useful for your booking. Ask us at any time what we hold and we will tell you, or delete it.

5. Photography and reviews

Every photograph on this site was taken here at Chapel Hill Stables and shows the place as it is. Guest quotes are the words of confirmed guests, reproduced word for word from reviews of the property.
